This committee represents a concerted campus-wide effort to identify and develop resources for improving retention rates, primarily focusing on discussions with faculty who teach freshman introductory-level classes. We meet four times per year to discuss many topics related to student behavior, teaching resources, analysis of retention data, and more.
The faculty mentorship program is designed to give new entering freshmen an opportunity to develop a one-on-one relationship with outstanding OU faculty members. Participants in the program are invested in making a difference in students’ lives outside of the classroom and providing students with insights about university life from the faculty perspective.
This President-appointed position reviews nominations for Rita H. Lottinville prizes. These awards are to be based upon academic and social achievement during the Freshmen year.
The University Library Committee advises the President and the Dean of Libraries concerning criteria for the apportioning of funds for books and periodicals, to make studies and recommendations on matters of policy and other aspects of the University library system as needed.
The PACCr Committee meets regularly to discuss the needs of centrally scheduled classrooms on campus. We discuss issues related to technology in various classrooms, renovation projects, maintenance, and organization of centrally-scheduled classroom resources.
The department undergraduate studies committee governs issues related to undergraduate curriculum (degree revisions, course revisions and substitutions) and selects the TOPS scholarship recipients each year.
